Allegan, MI, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at his home. Mr. Green was born September 10, 1941 in Shelbyville, the son of Joyce and Jennie (Temple) Green. He was a member of Cheshire Hills Golf Course and had coached Little League for several years. He had been employed at Querbach Leather and had then owned and operated Wolverine Leather for 21 years. Surviving are his wife, Merry (Mankin); 9 children and their spouses, Ken and Wendy Green of Pullman, Tim and Lori Green of Allegan, Bill and Meggan Christman of Kalamazoo, Denny and Leisa Green of Allegan, Brenda and Ron Sutherland of Allegan, Tammy and Steve Rasmussen of Allegan, Gordon and Kellie Greene of Kalamazoo, Richie and Melissa Green of Bloomingdale and Troy and Tammy Green of Kalamazoo; 22 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and their wives, David and Carolyn Wells of Fennville, Russell and Karen Wells, Danny and Rhonda Wells and Howard and Donna Wells, all of Allegan; 2 sisters, Joyce and Wilfred Christman, and Nina Welch, all of Allegan; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including very special friends, Darrel Krogman and Rosie Hammer. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gordon Greene and Mike Wells and 2 sisters, Addie Baughman nd Dixie Grauman. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp., MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or American Cancer Society.
