Otsego Twp., MI, died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Life Care Center in Plainwell. Mr. Callaway was born April 18, 1921 in Otsego Twp., the son of William and Blanche (Thompson) Callaway. He had been employed at Max-Sim-Bar in Otsego for 43 years, retiring in 1984. Surviving are 2 sons and their spouses, Lonnie and Sharon Callaway of Gunnersville, AL and Ron and Jean Callaway of Allegan; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Carl and Hilda Callaway of Texas and Jerry Callaway of Monterey Twp. 2 sisters, Dorothy and Edward Damber, and Mary Simmons, all of Monterey Twp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, 3 brothers and 1 sister, Donald, Edward, and Robert Callaway and Fanny Phillips. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Fred Perry officiating. Interment Dunningville Cemetery, Heath Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
