Kelly N. Montgomery, 45, of Allegan, MI passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 following a long battle with cancer. Born May 27, 1971 in Oaklawn, IL, she was the daughter of Sharon Kocsis Montgomery and the late Kenneth R. Montgomery. Kelly was a graduate of Allegan High School and had worked most recently at Cheshire Golf Course as a chef. She loved flowers and spending time in her garden. Another of her favorite places to spend time was at the beach, particularly at Lake Michigan. Kelly enjoyed shopping and collecting. Anything from garage sales to big shopping malls delighted her and could keep her busy for hours. She had a tender heart and a particular soft spot for animals. Above all else, though, Kelly loved her family and was deeply dedicated to them, as they were to her. Along with her mother, Kelly is survived by her other half of over twenty-three years, York Renton; her daughter, Kasondra Renton; brothers, Matthew Montgomery and Jeffrey Montgomery; sister, Lori Montgomery; aunt, Camille Kocsis; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Tangie, Adrian, Spencer, Trevor, Carter, Tinliegh and Jaydon; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other extended family members, friends and loved ones too numerous to list. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM, Pastor Dan Holly officiating.
