aged 81, of Hopkins, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Alma June (Snoeyink) Connor. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Debra Connor of Sparta, MI and Karen (Ken) Butler of Discovery Bay, CA. In addition he had four grandchildren that he adored, Stephanie Boguszewski, Stacy Boguszewski, Jillian Butler and Samantha Butler. Keith was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Air Force as a gunner on a B-25. After returning home he worked at General Motors Diesel on Burlingame in Wyoming, MI as a senior process engineer for over 30 years. He also farmed all of his life. Because he liked to stay busy, he worked for Transmatic in Holland, MI after his retirement. He was also a member of Hopkins Community Reformed Church. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Hopkins Community Reformed Church. Rev. Mark Kamper will officiate with burial in Lakeview Cemetery. V.F.W. Post #3030 will conduct a military graveside committal. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
