Keith Coffey, 79, of Hamilton, MI went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Holland Hospital. Born April 22, 1939 in Salem Township, he was the last surviving child of the late Alvin and Eva Ellen (Barber) Coffey. On April 1, 1961 Mr. Coffey married the love of his life, Beverly Jean Wheeler and together they recently celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage. He has always been passionate about ministering to people and sharing the word of God. Mr. Coffey earned his Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministry and was ordained on August 4, 1965. He pastored many different churches throughout his forty-five year career and eventually landed at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church after retirement where he remained a member. Mr. Coffey was also very interested in genealogy and learning about the history of his family. There were many times during family vacations that time was spent in cemeteries researching. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and woodworking. Mr. Coffey was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Beverly, he is survived by his children, Roxanne Ackroyd and husband Richard, Rodney Coffey and wife Maria, Tom Coffey and wife Jane and Doug Coffey; eight grandchildren, Miles Ackroyd, Erica Callicutt and husband Justin, Laken Locy and husband Tyler, Tyler Coffey, Scott Coffey and Cory Coffey; great-grandson, Brooks Callicutt; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to list. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his twelve siblings. The family will receive friends at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM and again on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow immediately after visitation Monday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark Inman officiating. Interment will be in Salem Township Cemetery.
