Obituary

Kathryn Winchester, Holland, formerly of Allegan, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Freedom Village in Holland. Mrs. Winchester was born October 16, 1915 in Allegan, the daughter of Grover & May (Perrigo) Tripp. Kathryn graduated from Allegan High School in 1934, and from Wells College in New York. She worked for many years with her husband ,Bob, as the bookkeeper of Tripp Trucking. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Allegan for most of her life, she loved golf and her family. The past 12 years she lived in Holland at Freedom Village. She is survived by her 2 sons, Bob Winchester of Gobles and Ted & Chris Winchester of North Carolina, 4 grandchildren, Dan, Teddy, Mike & Carla and Katie, 1 niece & her husband, Susan & Rick Kraai of Holland and many other nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Bob", and 2 brothers, Burrell and William. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 5-7 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Public graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan on Tuesday at 11am. Memorial services will be at Freedom Village on Tuesday at 1 pm. Pastor Joel Zuidema will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Holland, or the Episcopal Church in Allegan.
