of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Allegan, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at her home in Gulf Harbour. Kathleen was born December 31, 1921, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Leo and Josephine (Lafarina) Longo. On December 9, 1942, Kathleen was united in marriage to Jack Henderson, who preceded her in death in 1981. After retiring from the Dept. of Natural Resources, she started spending winters in Florida, where she met Kenneth K. Singleton. They were a match made on the golf course, and were married on March 8, 1994. An accomplished organist, she played at both Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan, and her parish church in Florida. Surviving are her loving husband, Ken, her 2 children; Carolyn and Ron Wilson of Vicksburg, and James and Laura Henderson of Grandville, 4 grandchildren; Melissa, Travis and Rebecca Gates, Sarah, and Jim, 5 great grandchildren; Niko, Gigi, Isaac, Caleb, and Austin, 3 step children; Nancy, Jeanette, and Earl, and her very special care giver, Jeri. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Nancy Gates, granddaughter, Lisa Kay, and stepdaughter, Barbara Lee. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11 am, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
