Kathleen Eleanor Butler, 78 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at Allegan County Medical Care Community.  Born November 9, 1944 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Margaret (Kline) Fritz and the wife of Roy Butler.  Kathleen, known as Kay by most people, owned and operated Kay's Beauty Boutique in Allegan for over 30 years.  Being a lady of adventure, she enjoyed snowmobiling and Jeep mud running. Her calmer activities included bowling, crocheting, knitting, and reading.  Kay was an avid reader and had an extensive collection of books which she thoroughly loved reading each and every one of them.  Over the years, Kay made room in her home for her furry friends, having various dogs and cats to keep her company.  Spending time with Roy fulfilled Kay's life and they were able to enjoy 21 years at their cabin in Luther, Michigan.  Kay leaves a void that will never be filled, but the blessings and love that she brought to others will be remembered and cherished.

Along with her husband, Kay is survived by her two brothers, Kenneth (Karen) Fritz and Ed (Linda) Clark; her nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan.  Memorial donations may be made in Kay's name to Wings Home, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010.  Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
