Allegan, MI, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Bierlein was born Feb. 28, 1954 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of John and Margaret (Stack) Dyer. She had been a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Allegan, since 1976. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1972 and from Central MI Univ. in 1976 and had done her grad work at Western MI Univ. She had worked at Hopkins Head Start and at "Our Place" preschool in Allegan for several years. She had also been a substitute teacher for Allegan Public Schools for 8 years and since 1999 has been employed at Gobles Elementary School. Surviving are 4 children, John, Elizabeth, Alan, and Sarah Bierlein, all of Allegan, and their father, Rick Bierlein of Hamilton; 3 grandchildren Melissa, Makayla, and Camarae; 1 sister, Sally Ann and Brad Pask of New York. Friends may meet with the family from 3 p.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church until time of service at 5 p.m. Pastor Dean Beckwith officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery, Sheep of the Good Shepherd, Watson Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Wings of Hope Hospice, or the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
