of Galesburg, formerly of Allegan, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Laurels of Galesburg. Katherine was born December 2, 1918, in Chicago, the daughter of Paul and Francis (Kiszczak) Oram. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and served on the Altar Society for many years. She worked at the Catholic School as a cook and spent countless hours crocheting bears and afghans, and giving them away to friends and family. Katherine lived in AZ from 1974 - 2004, when she moved to Galesburg to live with her son. Surviving are her 3 children; Jim and Diane Schelb of Galesburg, Mary Jean Burnett of FL, and Bear Schelb of Otsego, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband's, Edwin Schelb and Ray Lyons, 4 brothers, Ray, Peter, Paul and John Oram, and her sister, Mary Jenison. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 6-8 pm, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant. Interment Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Altar Society.
