Allegan, MI, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Morris was born Feb. 18, 1920 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Wendelina (Alsama) Venema. She was a 1937 graduate of Otsego High School and had been employed at Menasha in Otsego for more than 40 years. Surviving are 1 son and his wife, Roger and Kathy Morris of Allegan; 2 grandchildren, Charles (Jennifer) Morris and Kari Morris; 1 great-grandchild, Kayleigh; 1 sister, Ruth Sievers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, John, Charles and Henry Venema, Helen Richardson, Alice Scott and Harmina Seibert. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility.
