Allegan, MI, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Schwartz was born May 21, 1914 in Wayland, MI, the son of Elmer and Iva (Chamberlain) Schwartz. He was a 1933 graduate of Wayland High School. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and had been employed at DuWel in Bangor, retiring in 1979. Surviving are his wife, Leah (Brenner); 1 daughter and her husband, Thea and Dave Chambers of Adrian; 1 granddaughter and her husband, Kathrin and Dr. Lance Richards of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joel Chambers. Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Ronald Kruse officiating.
