Karin Wood, age 66, of Watson Township passed away on Christmas morning. Karin beat cancer and covid-19 this year but God knew her body was tired and that she needed to rest, so he brought her home to heal completely. Karin worked at Riverfront Chiropractic for many years and loved all the patients that walked through the door. Karin loved to bake for her family and friends. Her real passion was 4H where she participated as a child growing up showing her horses and ponies, then as an adult being a leader in the county where she volunteered thousands of hours. If you asked her for help with a project, fundraiser, horse show or committee she was there. You could always count on her. Karin is preceded in death by her father and mother, George (Bud) & Ruth Wood of Allegan County. She leaves behind her significant other of 21 years, Brett Wiley; her daughter, Heather (Matthew) Kossen; her son, Kevin (Shawna) Alflen; five grandchildren, Cierra, Jared, Kayla, MacKenzie and Nicole, and three great-grandchildren, Violett, Kaysen and Myra. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM. A private celebration of life will be held following. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in her memory to Allegan County 4H. Service Details.
