Justine Van Liedekerke Jacobs, beloved wife of Harvey A. Jacobs, a retired ophthalmologist, who survives, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Justine was born March 5, 1931 in Chicago, the daughter of Ben and Anne Van Liedekerke. She graduated from Alvernia High School in Chicago, she was an R.N. with B.S and M.S. degrees from Loyola University. She had been elected into the Sigma Theta Tau Honorary Nursing Society, a Director of Medical Education and spent 30 years in the nursing profession. A very accomplished musician, a lifelong student of language, theology and genealogy. She was a people person and loved to travel. She has cousins in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. We retired to Chattanooga in 1992. We will miss her upbeat personality very much. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2pm at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery, in Allegan. Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant.
