of Burnips, MI, died Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Haven Park Christian Home in Zeeland. Mrs. Simmons was born February 26, 1919 in Salem Twp., the daughter of Peter & Johanna (Kleinbrink) Selby. She worked for more than 24 years with G.E. in Holland, retiring in 1980. Surviving are 3 children & their spouses, Joyce & Alvin Coffey of Hamilton, Merle & Pat Simmons of Middleville and Marilyn & Jim VanderWeg of Hamilton; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Esther Selby of Hopkins, Irene Selby of Burnips and Fraye Mason of Jasper; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and 1 uncle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall; 2 brothers, Bud and Chuck, and 1 granddaughter, Phyllis. Friends may meet with the family Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 pm. Pastor William H. Osborne officiating. Interment Salem Twp. Cemetery. Memorials may be to the Charity of choice.
