Judy Overmyer, age 70 of Allegan, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Judy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan, and a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas. Judy loved birds and working out in the yard. But mostly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Terry Lee Overmyer in 2011; her 2 sisters, Treva Herring and Lela Graham and her 2 brothers, James and Richard Spaugh. She is survived by her daughters: Sonya (Wentzel) and Terry Lee Meiste of Allegan, Carla and Tony Hunley of Allegan, and Monica and Renee C. Overmyer of Jackson; 6 grandchildren: Nola (Gabriel) Myers, Justin Wentzel, Broderick Wentzel, Alicia Adams, Emily Hunley and Helen Hunley; 8 great-grandchildren: Landon, Jordan, Selah, Colt, Kyler, Hailey, William and Walker. Also surviving are siblings: Bud (Sharon) Spaugh, Bea Smith, Jeanette (Jim) Wollert, Vickie (Seth) Coon; brother-in-law, Dale Herring; as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Fr. Jose' Quintana officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Judy's memory to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment at Brookside Cemetery, Heath Township. Gorden Funeral Residence assisting family with arrangements.
