Obituary

of Allegan, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at Briarwood Assisted Living in Allegan. Mr. Simkins was born October 24, 1919, in Allegan, the son of Fenn and Edith (Anderson) Simkins. Judson was a Veteran of the United States Navy, he was a 1st Spec, with the Navy CB'S. He worked for 39 years with Rockwell in Allegan, retiring in 1980. He was active with the Sheriff Reserve for many years. Judson enjoyed hunting deer with his friends. In 1941 Judson married Esther Lampros who survivies, also surviving are his son David and Lorna Simkins of New York, 3 grandchildren; Tiffany and Charles Karpiak, Amy and Rich Calteux, and Patrick Simkins, 4 great grandchildren; Gavin, Chase, Blake, and Tasha, his A½ brothers, Carl and Bill, his A½ sister, Anna Marie VanFalkenberg, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanne, sister, Beatrice Kirkby, A½ brother, Robert. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Allegan Public Library or the Wings of Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
