of Allegan, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at her home. Joyce was born April 12, 1931, in Trowbridge Twp., the daughter of Judson and Frances (Thompkins) Taylor. Joyce graduated from Otsego High School in 1949. After raising her family of 5, Joyce volunteered her time and talent to ACRDC, in Allegan, for over 14 years, helping others who needed her. Surviving are her 5 children; Earl and Karen Stedman of Gobles, Bonnie Doubblestein of Otsego, Larry Stedman, Tina and Terry Synder, and Nancy and David Maccune all of Allegan, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Carrie Oisten of Allegan, 2 sisters-in-law, Lillian Taylor and Sue Taylor both of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, 2 sisters, Nancy Thayer and Gail Brabon, and 2 brothers, Judson and Julius. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2-4 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the service will be held at 4 p.m. Pastor Herb Curry will officiate.
