of Allegan, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Joyce Emma Hunt was born June 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Robert Hunt Sr. and Edna Hunt. She graduated from the Bronson Methodist School of Nursing and worked for Allegan General Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of Martin United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Kalamazoo Kennel Club and the Third Leg Club. She was married to Raymond Wagers, he preceded her in death on December 17, 1971. Surviving are three children, Joy and Buck Hannah of Muskegon, Mark and Wanda Wagers of Hopkins and Merry and Mark Ondersma of Plainwell; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her brother, Robert Hunt Jr. and his wife Dottie of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Wagers on March 15, 2001 and by her sister, Lois Sturgis in 2007. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Pastor Scott Senner will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alamo Nursing Home.
