Joyce Cook Russell, 64, of Allegan, MI passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Born April 8, 1954 in Manistique, MI, she was the daughter of the late James and Barbara (Smith) Cook. On July 13, 1977 she married Ronald G. Russell and they enjoyed thirty-three years of marriage prior to his passing in 2010. Mrs. Russell had worked for over twenty-five years as a caseworker for Allegan County. She is survived by stepchildren, Ronda (Brian) Hall and Jerry Russell; brothers, James (Elizabeth) Cook and Joel (Christie) Cook; three step-grandchildren; three nieces and five nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Tola. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior. Burial will follow in Rowe Cemetery, Cheshire Township. Memorial donations may be made to a charity or organization of one's choice.
