Joyce A. Borst, of Allegan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Joyce was born April 7, 1938, in Cheshire Township, the daughter of the late Frank and Leona (Baker) Borst. She was a 1956 Allegan High School graduate and went on to spend her working career at Perrigo Company of Allegan. Joyce loved to work and dedicated 56 years of her life to Perrigo, working in various areas of the company, the latest being the Perrigo Company Store. She was a very independent lady, never married, but held close bonds with her nieces and their children. Joyce enjoyed listening to Christian radio on Sunday morning and felt fortunate to have many good friends and neighbors. Surviving are her two nieces: Judy Scarlett and Diane Stong; two grandnieces: Nicole Wilson and Christina Scarlett; one grandnephew: David Grauman; two great-grandnieces: Lakota Erway and Jasmin Scarlett; two great-grandnephews: Christopher VanOrder and Elliott Grauman; and many wonderful friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may meet with the family from 12:00 - 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 25th at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Comer Skinner officiating.
