Gobles, MI, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo. Mr. Pinkul was born Jan. 30, 1927 in Phoenix, IL, the son of Joseph and Pearl (White) Pinkul. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII. He had been employed at the Harvey, IL Fire Dept. for 21 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; 2 children, Joe (Shirley) Pinkul of Mokena, IL and Annette (Joshua) Harris of Allegan; 5 grandchildren, Todd (Kris) Harris, Linzi Harris (Ron Reda), Joey Pinkul, Kevin Pinkul, and Katie Harris; 3 great-grandchildren, Chase, Zak, and Joshua; 2 brothers, John Pinkul of Monee, IL and Steve (Carol) Pinkul of Tinley Park, IL; 1 sister, Deloris Pfrommer of Sheriville, IN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jerry Keys. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Parish in Mokena, IL. Rev. Fr. Jim Dvorscak, Celebrant. Interment at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, Kairos Dwelling.
