Obituary

of Allegan, formerly of Los Gatos, CA, died Friday, September 4, 2009 at his home, after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by his loving family, and the caring help of Wings of Hope Hospice. Joe was born July 3, 1926, in Csatalya, Hungary, the son of Anthony and Mary (Spalztenberger) Miller. The family soon immigrated to Hamilton, Canada, where he grew up on the family farm. He became a long haul truck driver, and eventually became a citizen of the U.S.A., and settled in Los Gatos, CA, where he became the owner of a Union 76 full service station and garage. After his retirement, Joe and his wife Carol, traveled extensively throughout the U.S and Canada, in their motor home, always visiting friends and family along the way during their 19 years of marriage. Surviving are his wife Carol (Cortez) 6 children, Nola and Wally Barnick, Larry Ceniceros, Mike Ceniceros all of CA, Gilbert and MaryEllen Ceniceros of West Virginia, Dave and Sandy Ceniceros of Ohio, and Connie and Nick Grigsby of Allegan, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene. In accordance with his wishes, Joe has donated his body to medical research and education thru Lifelegacy Foundation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 3pm at Connie and Nick Grigsby's home, 318 Western Ave., Allegan. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan or the American Kidney Foundation. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
