Joseph Marion Meade, 83, of Allegan, MI passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.  Born May 23, 1942, in Allegan, he was the son of the late Clyde William and Bertha Anna (Canfield) Meade and was the husband of Cheryl Ann (Grinnell) Meade.  Joseph was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  He was an employed by  Rockwell International, then worked in the sales and service departments at different car dealerships for a number of years before ultimately starting his own snow plowing business.  Joseph was very family oriented.  He hated conflict and loved to spoil his wife and their two daughters.  In their younger years, the family was very involved with the 4H club raising horses and participating in parades.  Joseph's passion was working with cars; he especially loved doing the bodywork and painting.  He also really enjoyed the thrill of buying and selling and traveling to Tennessee with Cheryl to hunt for deals.

In addition to Cheryl, Joseph's wife of sixty-three years, he is survived by his daughters, Raylene (Brian) Prymula and Shelly (Leroy) Grauman; granddaughter, Jessica (Jamie) List; step-grandchildren, Tim Grauman and Kelly (Bob) Miklusicak; great-grandson, Austin List; and sister, Lucy Steinburg.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Courtney Grauman; and eleven brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends at Faith Baptist Church located at 2846 125th Avenue, Allegan, MI 49010, on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.  Joseph will be laid to rest privately in Hudson Corners Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
