Obituary

Joseph Beyer Jr. passed away at the Oaks of Jamestown surrounded by his family on March 24, 2025. He was born on April 4, 1931. Joseph served honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He was married to his late wife Wanda (Brenner) Beyer for over 67 years. He retired from Bradford White out of Middleville, Michigan. Some of his favorite pastimes were mushroom hunting for morels, taking care of his lawn, and enjoyed listening to oldies. He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment and hard work.

He is survived by his children Janet (Lyle) Boyles, Nancy (Jeff) Payne, Colleen Stein Rewa (Ed); 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda (Brenner) Beyer; parents Joseph and Sena (Vollink) Beyer; son-in law Lewis Stein; and his siblings Milo, Jenny, Gertrude, Ervin, Mable, Gladys and Beatrice.

Joseph's Funeral Service will be on Monday, March 31, 2025, starting at 11:30am with an hour's visitation beforehand at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel 208 West Main Street, Hopkins, MI 49328. Interment to follow at the Salem Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Dr. SW, Byron, Center, MI 49315.
