John Edward Sebesta, Jr., 82, of Plainwell, MI passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at his home.  Born November 25, 1942 in Allegan, he was the son of the late John and Mable Louise (Hewitt) Sebesta and was the husband of the late Barb Sebesta.  John retired from Parker Hannifin after more than thirty dedicated years of service.  He loved spending his spare time fishing, antiquing or finding a good buffet.  John never took a shortcut along the way home, he always preferred to take the scenic route.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Debbie (Robert) Ross, John (Kim) Sebesta, Don (Deb Higgs Lathrop) Sebesta, Dan (Jennifer) Sebesta and Jerry Howe; sister, Darlene Meunier; brother-in-law, Bill Minser; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hightower, Alex (Caitlin Fennema) Sebesta, Jason (Kendra) Ross, Taylor Shelton, Carly DeWeerdt, Cori Pammer, Johnathan Sebesta, Audrey Sebesta, and Terri Sue Hightower; and great-grandchildren, Constantine, Dawson, Claire, Dean, Ayden, Kayla, Carter, River, Aiden, Anna, Kayla and Wyatt.  Along with his wife and his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Mable Minser; and his brother-in-law, Carl Meunier.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
