On Wednesday, August 14, John Mark Parkhurst passed away suddenly in Hamilton, Michigan at 10:45 PM.

John was born on November 20, 1961, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  John is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Rewalt, of Allegan, Michigan; son Joe of Arizona; stepchildren, Austin Rewalt and Amber Birmingham; brother Jim; sisters, Sheri, Kathy, and Debbie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Hannah, son Nickolas, and brother, David.

John graduated from Allegan High School with the greatest class ever to graduate – the Class of 1980!

John has enjoyed working for a company called Challenge for the past 10 years.  His favorite pastimes were his jeep, motorcycle, paddleboarding, and spending time on his boat with his beloved fiancé and constant companions, his beautiful English Cream Retrievers, Dougie and Bailey.  John could also be seen every year during the fair working behind the scenes on the sound mixer for the stage shows that he loved.  For many years as a young child, John loved and owned several horses.  John was golden!  There wasn't anything he wouldn't do or at least try to do for you.  To lend a hand, an ear, or advice, John could always be counted on!  His heart was huge, and it showed in everything he did!  John was loved and he will be missed!

Visitation is Tuesday, August 20 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with service immediately following at noon at Gorden Funeral Residence in Allegan, Michigan.

A luncheon and celebration of John' s life will be at the Eagles in Allegan at 1:30 PM.
