John Thomas Okon, 58, of Otsego, Michigan passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2025.

Born on May 8th, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, John was the son of Thomas James Okon and Maxine Kelly. He graduated from Hubbard High School and went on to pursue his education at Lincoln Technical School. John later attended Grand Rapids Community College where he earned his Journeyman's Certificate, and was proud to work at H.J. Heinz for many years.

John is survived by his daughter, Kristin Okon; his sister, Tracy (Daniel) Donahue, Donna (Bobby) Tillery, and Julie Brannigan (Brian Foutch); and his partner, Angelina Goodrich (children: Kaylee, Jason Sherman). He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas James Okon and Maxine Kelly.

John was a cherished uncle to Jason (Kristine) Clowers, Tony (Lisa) Caponegri, Jamie Donahue, Eric (Brandy) Davoren, Randy Davoren, Kyle Campos, Michael Brannigan, and Brianna Brannigan.

John will be remembered for his loving heart, warm embrace, and his deep, unwavering bond with family. He had a true passion for cooking, fixing things, and always finding joy in creating and helping others. His sense of humor and infectious laughter brought light to every room. John's presence will be missed by all who knew him.
