Ft. Wayne, IN, formerly of Portage, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 in Ft. Wayne. Mr. Lukins was born May 19, 1912 in Martin, MI. He worked as a supervisor in the String Division of Gibson Guitar in Kalamazoo, retiring in 1977. Surviving are his wife, Marian, of Ft. Wayne; 1 son John Lukins, Jr. of Ft. Wayne; 4 grandsons, Scott, Richard, John III, and Benjamin Lukins; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Jane Scheltema of Temperence, and Ruth Newman of Martin. Friends may meet with the family from 12 noon Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
