John Wayne Jones, 73, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. Born March 13, 1949 in Clarendon, AR, he was the son of the late Joseph William and Martha Maxine (Moore) Jones and was the husband of Deborah Jo (Clark) Jones. John was a proud Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army. He had worked as a machinist for many years before retiring from Johnson Controls. Following his retirement, he looked forward to spending his days babysitting his grandchildren. John also enjoyed watching westerns. He was a fixture at Allegan High School where he had volunteered many hours taking tickets at nearly all the sporting events held there. In addition to his wife, Deborah, with whom he recently celebrated forty-six years of marriage, John is survived by his children, Michele (Ken) Moll and Tony (Barb) Jones; brother, Rick Jones; siblings-in-law, Wayne (Linda) Anderson, Jim (Geri) Clark, Jr., and Terry Bell; four grandchildren, Connor, Addisyn, Wyatt and Logan; and many nieces in nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha; and siblings, Sharron Anderson, Billy Ray (Elsie) Jones, David Lee Jones and Patrick Ira Jones. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. John will be laid to rest in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.
