John Frederick Huitt, 64, of Allegan, MI passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his home.  Born March 25, 1959 in Kalamazoo, he was the son of the late Marvin Larrane and Joan Ruth (Allen) Huitt.  John was a big fan of the Detroit Lions and loved to watch NASCAR.  He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing his guitar when he was able. John also liked going outside and going fishing before he became ill.  He had a heart of gold and was willing to give the shirt off his back to help those he loved.

John is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Brian) Cook; Doug (Carma) Huitt; nephew, Kyle (Evelyn) Huitt; nieces, Lydia Huitt, Michelle (Jason) Johnson, Mandy Huitt and Taylor Huitt; and great-niece, Jenna Johnson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Huitt; and his niece, Katherine Cook.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
