of Allegan, died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at his home. Mr. Foster was born August 24, 1929, in Kalamazoo, the son of Ernest and Lillie (Huber) Foster. John was an avid gardener. He was a member of the Allegan Amateur Ham Radio Club, KC8NBS. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1948, and worked at Rockwell for over 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a faithful member of the Christ Community Church. Surviving are his 3 children; Daniel Foster, Linda Caldarona, Victoria and Dan Miller, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and many friends whom he loved to joke and fellowship with. John was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his great grandson Cole, 2 sisters; Marian Hamacher, Bernice Brumett, and his dog and companion, Lady II, who just passed a month ago. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, the 27th., at 11 am, at the Christ Community Church in Allegan, Pastor G. Patrick White will officiate. Interment in Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorials may be made to the Church.
