Hopkins, MI, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at his home. Mr. DeVriendt was born November 1, 1958 in Grand Rapids, the son of Donald and Norma (Johnson) DeVriendt. He had been employed at Allegan Metal Finishing for almost 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Lois (Selby); 3 sons, Jason and Brittany DeVriendt, Nathan DeVriendt and his fiancee' Amanda Wright, and Justin and Danielle DeVriendt, all of Hopkins; 2 grandchildren, Samuel and Aubrie; 2 brothers, Curtis and Connie DeVriendt of Hopkins and Frank DeVriendt of Dorr; 1 sister, Carole Woehl, of Fennville; several nieces and nephews. A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. at Salem Township Cemetery. Mr. Comer Skinner officiating.
