Obituary

Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at his home. Mr. Blaha was born Sept. 2, 1919 in Chicago, IL, the son of Robert and Jessie (Kenney) Blaha. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He had been a member of Bloomingdale Bible Church. He had farmed in the area for many years and also been employed in construction for 26 years. Surviving are his wife, Vera (Morgan); 5 children, Jean Blaha, Allegan, Kay and Pat Thomas of Kalamazoo, Janet and Terry Odell of Gobles, Doris and Rick Bishop and Dean and Chris Blaha, all of Allegan; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren;1 brother, Robert Karl and Mary Jane Blaha of Gobles; 1 sister, Rose Hayes of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by twin infant daughters, and 3 sisters, Alice Stone, Edith Reavis and Marie Brown. Friends may meet with the family from 12 noon Friday until time of service at 1 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Rev. Russell Gibbs officiating. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Allegan Home Care or Bloomingdale Bible Church.
