Monterey Twp., MI, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Borgess Pipp Hospital in Plainwell. Mr. Callaway was born December 22, 1941 in Allegan, the son of William and Blanche (Thompson) Callaway. He had been employed at Holland Hitch for 26 years, retiring in the early 1990's. Surviving are his son, Jerry, Jr. of East Jordan; 6 grandchildren, Missy, Samantha, Jerry, Delores, Elizabeth, and Sharron; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother and his wife, Carl and Hilda Callaway of Texas; 2 sisters, Mary Simmons and Dorothy and Ed Damber, all of Monterey Twp.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister, Donald, Ken, Edward, Robert, and Fanny Phillips. Memorial services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
