died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Mrs. Veenkant was born July 22, 1944, in Allegan, the daughter of Clarence and Alice (Gardiner) Hiscock. Jeanette graduated from Allegan High School in 1962, and The Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids. Jeanette was a member of the South Monterey United Methodist Church. She was a freelance artist, and helped with the interior design of several building and developments, including Parkview Hills in Kalamazoo. She worked for over 20 years with the Flashes in Allegan. Surviving are her husband, Jim, 2 son's, Jerry and Jennifer Veenkant and Jeff and Bonnie Veenkant all of Allegan, 4 grandchildren; Jonathan, Aaron, Jamie and Tyler, 3 brothers-in-law, Terry and Robin Kelsey of Cedar Springs, Bruce and Charlene Kelsey of Bitely, Brian and Mary Kelsey of Grand Rapids, 2 sisters-in-law, Darlene and Ralph Hollander of Fennville, and Carol Hiscock of Allegan, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John. Friends may meet with the family on Friday April 20, from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am, Pastor Fred Perry will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Wings Home, Allegan.
