formerly Jeanette Spies of Lowell, OH, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Briarwood Assisted Living Center in Allegan, MI. "Jenny" was born Jan. 16, 1916 in Lowell, OH, the daughter of George and Rowa (Bucey) Spies. She was a graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. She had been employed by Ohio Power in Coshocton, OH, where she met her beloved husband of 62 years, Earl Radcliffe "Steve" Stevens. He preceded her in death in June, 2000 in Sun City, FL. Surviving are two daughters. Martha Nooney, and her husband, Douglas Nooney of Allegan and Elaine Parke-Susco and her husband, John Susco, of Tionesta, PA. There are four grandchildren, Steven Burr Erikson, Michael Brandt Erikson, Jennifer Sheridan Oldenberg and Jonathan Stone Sheridan and three great-grandchildren, Kathryn Elaine Erikson, Ryan Hooper Erikson and Tess Melody Oldenberg. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Briarwood Assisted Living Center, 620 Ely St., Allegan. Pastor Barry Lucas from the First Congregational Church officiating. In the spring, "Jenny" will be buried next to her beloved husband, "Steve" and her parents in the family plot in Lowell, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
