Jean L. White, 86 of Allegan, MI, died Sunday, June 30, 2002 at her home. Mrs. White was born Sept. 17, 1915 in Abrams, WI, the daughter of The Rev. George C. and Adeline (Winans) Saunderson. She graduated from Lawrence Univ. In Appleton, WI in 1937 and taught school for more than 10 years in Rudyard, MI in the U.P. and also at the Allegan Junior High School. She attended the Allegan Presbyterian Church for many years. Surviving are 2 children, Mary and Robert Mercier of Illinois and Donald White of Allegan; 1 granddaughter, Jean L. Mercier of Oregon; 1 sister, Ann Adams of Minnesota; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. "Bud" White in 1997. There will be no services. Interment will take place in Rudyard Cemetery, Rudyard, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Dollars for Scholars.
