87, formerly of Allegan, died Friday, February 08, 2013 at Life Care Center of Plainwell. Jannette was born in Sparta, Michigan on April 12, 1925, the daughter of Milo and Thelma (Corliss) Wheaton. Jannette was a Home Maker all her life. She enjoyed being a volunteer. She was known as the social butterfly at the nursing home. Jannette was a member of First Church of God, Allegan for many years. Jannette is survived by her children: Kenneth (Barb) Wheeler, Leslie (Barbara) Wheeler, Caroline Wheeler, Elwin (Wanda) Wheeler, Harriette (Ron) Bakker, Clifford (Charmaine) Wheeler, Michael (Mary) Wheeler, Milo Wheeler; her fifteen grandchildren; her nineteen great-grandchildren; her other grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jannette is preceded in death by her husband Harry. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, February 11, 2013 at The First Church of God, Allegan for a visitation from Noon-2:00 P.M. with the Funeral to follow at the church at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Don Hendrick will be officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 P.M. that same day at Lee Cemetery, Lee Township. Arrangements are made by Gorden Funeral Residence.
