Janice Rowena Myers passed away November 19th, 2025, at Ely Manor, Allegan, following a lengthy illness.

Janice was born July 18, 1940, in Vincent Iowa to the late Ervin and Bess Peterson, the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Luther College and was an elementary school teacher for many decades, until finally retiring from Tawas Area Schools.

She loved traveling, taking in theatre shows, hosting and attending any type of party, and most of all, shopping. She made everyone she met a better person just by having her in their lives.

Janis is survived by her sisters, Jean and Joan, son, John (Jessica) Myles, and her most important person in the world, granddaughter Madeline, who Jan made sure was the best dressed child, by far (see shopping above) for the few short years she was able to do so.

Although no services are planned, those wanting to donate in her memory can do so to Christ the King Lutheran Church in Gladwin Michigan, or hug and spoil your grandchildren in the way she was unable.
