Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Robert Chappell was born October 7, 1927 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Charles and Beatrice (Schweitzer) Cook. She graduated from high school in Rolling Prairie, IN and attended the Chicago Institute of Art for 2 years. She was a librarian in Parchment for 15 years from 1960-1975. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, bird watching, was an excellent cook and fine artist. Surviving are 3 children, and their spouses, Robert "Skeets" and Charlotte Chappell of Allegan, Lynnette and Mark Lindberg of Kalamazoo and Victor "Bing" and Dorothy Chappell of Plainwell; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles and Mary Ellen Cook of Marcellus; 1 sister, Peggy and Philip Sturman of Millinocket, ME. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1986. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 26th at 2 p.m. at Moorepark Cemetery, Moorepark, MI. Pastor Barry Lucas officiating.
