Jane A. Horton, 60 of Allegan died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at her home. Jane was born March 19, 1945 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of Clayton and Ruth (Bittenbender) Johnson. She had graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor Degree and was a Speech Therapist and teacher at several schools in Allegan County. She also was a substitute teacher. She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge and had been a member of the Elks, Eagles and Ot-Wel-Egan Country Club. Surviving are her father, Clayton Johnson of Allegan; 1 brother, Stephen Johnson of Allegan; 1 sister, Sandra Paul of Coconut Creek, FL; her partner, Dick Thorpe of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her mother. Memorial services for Jane and her father, Clayton G. Johnson, who died Dec. 22, will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Chapel, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart & Stroke Association. Arrangements by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
