Jamey Lee Steffens, 26, of Hopkins, MI passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He was born June 23, 1993 in Grand Rapids and was a graduate of Allendale High School. Jamey loved playing basketball and soccer. Jamey was the son of Jim and Karen Steffens and the biological child of Melvin Stevenson, Sr. and Rachel Toliver. He was a proud member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. Jamey loved to go fishing, but his real passion was being in the kitchen cooking. He dearly loved his entire family and especially cherished and adored his two beautiful daughters. Jamey is survived by his parents, Jim and Karen Steffens; birth parents, Melvin Stevenson, Sr. and Rachel Toliver; his beloved daughters, Amelia Steffens and Esme' Reister; and fifteen siblings, Tracy, Brittney, Tiffany, Cody, Destiny, Anthony, Riley, Macailey, Cherish, Tashia, Tanesha, William, Rumeal, Melvin and Corinne. He is also survived by grandmothers, Karen Kay Steffens and Helen Hillman. A Celebration of Life will take place at First Baptist Church in Allegan Michigan.
