of Allegan, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. VanHorn was born January 19, 1944, in Allegan, the son of Clayton and Louise (Waver) VanHorn. Jim graduated from Paw Paw High School, and had worked for both Imperial Carving in Allegan, and for Don Weaver in construction as a mason. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Pam, 5 children, Sandy and Joseph Thomas of Fennville, Cindy and Dennis March of Allegan, James and Heather VanHorn of Allegan, Kenneth and Kim VanHorn of South Haven, and Mark and Lorraine VanHorn of Pullman, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Sally and Paul Cook of Gobles and Alice Merrian of Gobles, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Roy, 2 brothers, Earl and Royal, and 1 sister, Joan Bersley. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 11 am until service time at 1 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Robert Stover from the United Methodist Church in Allegan will officiate. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp.
