of Hopkins, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at his home. Mr. Stone was born August 16, 1961, in Grand Rapids, the son of Darl and Patricia (Mayrand) Stone. He was a Hopkins High School Graduate in 1979, and worked for Pitsch Company in Grand Rapids for 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. Surviving are his 3 children; Sargent Harley and Brittnee Stone, Jasmin Stone and Amanda Stone, his grandson, Harley Jr., his mother, Pat and Merle Stone, 3 brothers; Bruce and Lauri, Rodney and Diane, and Darl Jr., many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Bryanna Rose Stone, his father, Darl E., his sister, Cheryl Rae Taylor, and his brother-in-law, David Taylor. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, September 21, from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am. Comer Skinner will officiate. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. Memorials may be made to Jim's grandchildren; care of Harley Stone.
