of Cross City, Florida, formerly from Allegan, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his home. James was born February 21, 1979, the son of William Simmons and Sandra (Tenwalde) Stamper James has lived in Florida for seven years. He graduated from Allegan Public Schools in 1998. Surviving is his mother Sandra and Larry Stamper; his grandparents: Eleanor "Granny" Simmons, Ron and Connie Tenwalde, William McElroy, Larry and Beverly Stamper; his brothers: Joshua and Krista Simmons, Ken and Desi Stamper; his nephews: Levi, Carter, Peyton; his niece Taylor; and several Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Friends. James is preceded in death by his father William, his grandma Rachel McElroy and his grandpa Richard Simmons. Friends may meet with the family at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Saturday, October 20, 2012, from 4-5 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 5 P.M., also at the Gorden Funeral Service, Allegan Chapel.
