James (Jim) Andrew Plesnicar, a devoted husband, loyal son, and self-made entrepreneur, passed away on November 13, 2024. Born on January 7, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, Jim attended Ferris State University in the 1980s.

After college, he founded a manufacturing business in Allegan. Through his hard work and dedication, Jim grew the company into a thriving enterprise, forging strong relationships with global partners and expanding its reach across North America.

Jim met his wife, Chilly, in 1993, and they married in 1997. Together, they shared a life full of love and laughter, building a warm and welcoming home filled with cherished memories. Jim and Chilly enjoyed cruises and weekend road trips across Michigan to relax and connect with nature after their busy weeks. Friends and family fondly remember Jim hosting gatherings with Chilly, creating lasting traditions and unforgettable moments.

Jim was known for his thoughtful conversations on topics such as politics, business, and world affairs. He had a passion for fishing and found joy in spending time by the ocean. His great sense of humor and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jim will be remembered for his strong work ethic and the deep love he had for his wife and family.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Chilly; his mother, Pennie; his brothers, John and Joe (who was also his business partner); his nephew, Andrew; his niece-in-law, Bing, and her husband, Matt; his grandniece, Allie; his sisters-in-law, Hilly and Briccy, and Briccy's husband, Jonathan; his brother-in-law, Junedy; his niece-in-law, Shinar; and his nephew-in-law, James. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew, and his sister-in-law, Andrea.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
