James Everett Morris, 84, of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Morris was born November 20, 1931 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of the late Cecil and Leona (Foote) Morris. Jim was a mechanic by trade and spent over 25 years working at Ken's Tire Service in Allegan. After leaving Ken's, he went to work with his brother, Irvin, and the two of them spent their days cutting and delivering firewood. Jim is survived by seven children: Linda and Ken Farrow, Bob and Peggy Morris, Karen Mead, Connie and Tom Fargo, Sue and Gary Replogle, Rick Siebert, Sandy and Jerry Kulas; daughter-in-law, Kathy Siebert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Irvin Morris and Lewis Morris; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and two sons, David Siebert and Gary Siebert. Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel on Wednesday, August 17 from 12 - 1 PM, where the funeral service will take place at 1 PM, Rick Siebert officiating. Interment will take place at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Monterey Township.
