of Allegan died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at his home. Mr. Krotz was born February 25, 1931 in Allegan, the son of Otto and Helen (Breski) Krotz. Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy, he was a member of the VFW Post 3667 and the American Legion Post 89. He worked for Crescent Pipe in Allegan for many years. Surviving are his companion of 30 years Betty Krotz-Livingston, 6 children: Linda Krotz of Allegan, Melinda Krotz of Colorado, Judy Krotz of Allegan, Karen Krotz of Grand Rapids, Denise and Mike Shultz of Allegan, and Rex Krotz of Kalamazoo, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother Art Krotz, and 1 sister Beatrice Krotz both of Allegan, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Jeff Krotz, his sister Eleanor Krotz, and 3 brothers, LeRoy, Fred, and Robert. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Hays will officiate. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township.
