of Otsego, formerly of Allegan, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Mr. Jones was born February 16, 1935, in Valley Twp., the son of Thomas and Rose (Spicer) Jones. Jim graduated from Allegan High School in 1954. On September 10, 1955, Jim married the love of his life, Patricia M. Kaylor, who survives. He worked for over 43 years at the Allegan County Road Commission, retiring in 1997. Also surviving are his daughter, Diane Jones of Otsego, 3 grandchildren; Miranda Hammann and Jason, James Hammann and Brittany, and William Hammann, 2 great grandchildren; Braxton and Brady, 2 step grandchildren; Matt Billin, and Heather and Shaun Cronhkite, his brother, Donald and Sylvia Jones of Allegan, his sister, Rose and Robert Waychoff of Allegan, 2 brothers-in-law; Roy Johnson of Parchment, and Max and Evelyn Kaylor of Allegan, 1 sister-in-law, Gail and Darrell Stoughton of Otsego, 1 son-in-law, Randy and Pam Hammann of Kalamazoo, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Hammann, brother, George Jones, 3 sisters; Ethel Tuffelmire, Agnes Ochampaugh and Mary Johnson, sister-in-law, Gloria Jones, 2 brothers-in-law, Carl Tuffelmire and Joe Ochampaugh. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, March 22, from 4-7 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11am. Mr. Jeff Kaylor will officiate. Interment Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Twp. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Community.
